The festival was opened by our patron, Erica Terpstra, who cares about the nuns. She spoke with fire on the life and work of the nuns in Ladakh and expressed his wish to have your own time to go. Dr. Palmo, Director of the Ladakh Nuns Association, which we in Ladakh closely, had this opportunity had come over from Ladakh, and she and Erica Terpstra gave each other the book light in Ladakh, in which photos are of the nuns, accompanied by poems by marlin Nijboer. "What an energy radiating from this woman!" were the words of Erica Terpstra after she had met Dr. Palmo.

Vredesdans

The workshops and lectures on the position of nuns in Ladakh and the Tibetan medicine during the two days were interspersed with (crystal bowls), meditation and dancing. It was a huge success, people came from far and wide, bringing together more than € 6000.00 for the various projects in Ladakh, including this year the construction of the convent and guest house in Nyerma near Thiksey.
