In October 2008 the sixth Ladakh Festival took place in Aldstjerk .
The festival attracted about one hundred visitors and brought together more than 2500.00 for projects in Ladakh. Very special was the fundraising dinner, where twenty people took part.
The TOTHeater played the play: Bearers of Peace, written for the occasion by Gerhild van Rooij.
Afterwards the players went around with a bowl and brought together a tidy sum, which was supplemented to more than 450.00 by three young pianists who gave a benefit concert Sunday night as closure.
The festival was opened on Saturday by Anita Andriesen, commissioner of Friesland, that referred to how important these activities are placed under her own illness.
During this festival took many workshops, such as Mantra, meditation, crystal bowls, Tibetan dance for world peace, yoga and Moxa therapy.
